Earlene Stamper Blake. 62, Lewiston retiree

      Earlene Stamper Blake of Lewiston died of cancer Friday at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was 62.
      She was born Nov. 21, 1936, at Orofino to Earl M. and Juanita J. Blevins Stamper. She grew up in Orofino and graduated from Orofino High School.
      She married Harvey Dean Blake in 1955 and the marriage ended in divorce.
      She worked as a waitress at the Idaho Inn in Orofino in 1963. In 1967 she moved to Hamilton, Mont., and worked at the Wagon Wheel restaurant as a waitress for approximately 20 years. She returned to Lewiston in 1991. From 1992 to 1993 she worked as a waitress at the Ramada Inn at Lewiston. She began working at Beamers Landing in Clarkston in 1993.
      She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
      Survivors include a daughter, Julie Romett of Stafford, Va.; two sons, Dean Blake of Lewiston and Harold Blake of Kamiah; her mother of Lewiston; five brothers, Lyle Stamper of Winchester, Jim Stamper, Larry Stamper and Earl Stamper, all of Lewiston, and Bill Stamper of Orofino; two sisters, Evelynn Luck of Salem, Ore., and Mary Ann Mingo of Clarkston; and 17 grandchildren.
      She was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard Stamper, Benny Stamper, Cecil Stamper and Dean Stamper.
      The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel in Orofino. The Rev. Phil Bonner of Orofino will officiate. Burial will follow at Wells Bench Cemetery near Orofino.
